Job brief

We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. You will be tasked with new lead generation, as well as sales to existing customers. In addition, you will be in charge of writing customer newsletters, blog posts and contacting industry professionals to generate new leads.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments and company’s GTM strategy to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling, client newsletters, blog posts and other marketing campaigns
  • Manage new reactive leads and generate new leads
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Qualifications

To be considered for this position you will have a proven track-record in a sales, consultancy or business development role or have experience working in a similar role in the home automation industry. Candidates with no industry experience may apply but must be able to clearly demonstrate an aptitude for technology and experience selling solutions of a technical or complex nature. This role could also be suitable for professionals with a background in IT or software sales with a passion for smart home technology.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2-4 years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
